The Big Talent School

The Big Talent is an independent Performing Arts School and Boutique Children and young peoples Agency with classes in Cardiff and the Vale and in partnership with Wales Millennium Centre. Our offices are based in Cardiff Bay, South Wales.

March update - WE WILL ROCK YOU auditions are underway. If you would like to join us for our second full production get in touch to request an audition pack. 02920 464506 or Rehearse May - October. SUMMER SCHOOLS July 21-25 ANNIE at Chapter Arts Centre, August 18-22 Horrible Histories. £120 for the week, performance for family and friends on the Friday. 10-4pm each day. Contact the office for a booking form.

MUSICAL THEATRE MAIN SCHOOL Saturday afternoons 1.30-4.30pm. Auditions for We Will Rock You start March 15th. Contact office for an audition pack. Rehearsals for Hairspray are underway. Hairspray will be performed at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama Easter 2014.

CLWB DRAMA for 6-14's drama in the Welsh medium. Performing at Wales Millennium Centre as part of St Davids Day celebrations this term.

THE YOUNG PROFESSIONALS (16 plus) meet each week to work on acting skills and audition technique so when that big job comes along they are ready for it!

BIG TALENT YOUTH THEATRE at WALES MILLENNIUM CENTRE for 7-16 year olds that meet at the Millennium Centre on Saturday mornings with showings and performances at the Centre. This is an hour and half of theatre skills and open to all.

Throughout the year we hold one off master classes with Industry professionals and these offer insight into the Industry and teach specific skills such as auction technique, television acting, stage fighting....

We also represent young performers for both English and Welsh productions on stage, in television and film. We recognise and nurture raw talent and teach performance skills for life. Open to everyone, regardless of experience or ability.

Guileless, with a beautiful singing voice. slim build. RP accent VERUCA - 9 - 12 years. under 4ft 8. a ballerina (grade 5 or thereabouts). very good actress and singer. MIKE TEAVEE - 9 - 13 years. under 4ft 10. must be very physical. high level of street dance, acro, tutting, bboy, breaking. energy. AUGUSTUS GLOOP - 9 - 13. under 4ft 10. big boy needed. he needs to sing well and high. he will yodel. VIOLET - 9 - 13, under 4ft 8. girl rapper needed. Looking really for someone who has been rapping for some time, familiar with slam poetry and used to performing rap. all ethnicities.

If you would like to apply for the role of Matilda you must fulfil the criteria below. If you are an Agency client we can put you forward for the next round of auditions but you must be: · 8-13 years of age / MUST be under 4ft4 · Strong singer and confident speaker. Good understanding of text and intelligent approach to acting. Matilda should look like the runt of the litter, she is not posh and well turned out, rather more damaged and weak from a working class background. · Matilda is a complicated and fiercely clever child, living in an abusive household she escapes into books and her imagination. · Can live further afield from London- The RSC assist with accommodation and tutoring where necessary
